“The cave you fear to enter holds
the treasure you seek.”

I’d love to have a real conversation
about fear and transformation.

Let’s talk.

Talk about real stuff

Failing. Damaging relationships. Feeling like an imposter. Missing targets. Not being liked. Losing a client. Being judged. Being rejected. Being pushed out. Getting fired. Going bankrupt. Selling out.

Psychological safety is critical for high impact yet, we are so afraid to talk about the things that matter.
When we know how to hold fear, it becomes an immense source of power.

What would I do if I weren’t afraid?

Because who we are is how we lead.

I’m a Creative Executive Coach & Strategic Advisor who is passionate about collaborating with fiercely courageous and creative leaders to achieve long-lasting impact in their lives, organizations and the world

My study of fear began at a young age, as a painfully shy Asian American immigrant kid afraid to speak during class or in meetings. Over the course of 34 years, I’ve developed an acute understanding of fear — how it can hold us back but also how it can propel us into the most powerful essence of who we are.

We can’t lead without knowing our fears. When we know how to hold fear, it becomes an immense source of power.

For me, it’s been a practice of persistent courage — whether it’s delivering a vulnerable talk to hundreds of strangers, speaking truth to power when you know something isn’t right or starting a new venture with no guarantee of success.

It’s a practice that I’m keen to share with
leaders who are ready to work with fear.

Let’s have a real conversation if this resonates.

How i've impacted the world

How can you build a fast-growing global creative business from the ground up?

How can you re-invent the business model and culture of a 50-year-old consultancy?

How can you reach tens of thousands of people worldwide through learning?

Melissa is an idealist. She’s determined and single-minded - she’ll see something through, come what may - and make money from it too. But most important of all, Melissa believes in the good, in two senses - she’s absolutely determined that all her work leads to a positive outcome for people - and she’s very tough on work that isn’t as good as it could be. I’ve loved working with her, watching her make things happen, and being challenged by her too.
